We are looking for a COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING SPECIALIST to join our team at Metsä Wood.

About the Role 

As a Communications and Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and delivering relevant, timely, and compelling content that speaks to different target audiences. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across various functions. 

You will get to utilise your diverse skills in writing texts, updating websites and intranet, and creating and visualising social media content. Additionally, you will assist in organising events and updating marketing materials. 

We are looking for an independent, enthusiastic, and proactive individual with initiative, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn new things. The position requires fluency in Finnish and English, and other languages are a bonus. 

Key Responsibilities 

Content Creation: Plan, produce, and distribute multi-channel internal and external content, including graphic design. 

Local Communication Support: Assist Metsä Wood’s mills with local communication activities. 

Event Coordination: Organise and manage events and webinars. 

Marketing Support: Provide marketing assistance to sales teams and customers. 

Team Collaboration: Participate in marketing and communication teamwork and shared development projects. 

Location 

You will be based at Metsä Group's headquarters in Espoo, Finland, reporting to the Communications Manager, Metsä Wood. 

What kind of skills are we looking for? 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. 

Experience: 3-5 years in communications or marketing. Previous experience in updating websites, image editing, and content production. 

Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and general IT tools, broad understanding of communication and marketing processes, and good knowledge of various communication channels. Familiarity with AI and experience with design software like Adobe CC is a plus. 

Personal Attributes: Curious, team player, eager to learn, self-motivated, solution-oriented, flexible, systematic, precise, and good interpersonal skills

Languages: Fluent in spoken and written Finnish and English.
