We are looking for a

LOGISTICS COORDINATOR  

to Metsä Board’s Mill Logistics team in Äänekoski for a fixed-term role appr. for one (1) year.

What will you get to do?

Mill Logistics is responsible for operative transport planning and coordination within Metsa Board Supply Chain, with focus on transports from Finnish mills and other Finnish warehouse locations.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will plan and organize fluent deliveries to Finnish harbors, other warehouse locations and directly to named destinations in Europe. You are in key role to solve and optimize daily issues, and to ensure high quality of our deliveries. You manage complex cases and proactively identify deviations. You participate actively in development activities, as well as provide support to renewal and continuous improvement of our activities. You will report to Logistics Manager, Finnish mills and collaborate closely with mills and many internal & external stakeholders to ensure agile, cost efficient and future oriented value on daily operations.

What are we expecting of you?

We expect you to have a position relevant education and at least 3 years of working experience in logistics, warehousing or supply chain from production environments. You have a desire to work in an international atmosphere and ability to work accurately and logically under pressure and balance between multiple priorities as part of our transport chain to customers. You are able to provide data for decision making and development. You have a hands-on experience of SAP and MS Office applications. Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English is required, and any other language skills are considered as an advantage.
