UX Designer

Would you like to be a central part of a team building the digital services for the Lottery and Land Based games business unit? We are seeking a talented UX Designer to craft entertaining and customer-focused digital experiences and the look and feel of our services. Together with our UX and Service design, analytics, and development teams, you will define what visual interfaces and user experience of our digital channels will be in the future. The position is permanent and full-time. 

As a UX Designer, you will follow trends and be interested in how our services feel – not just how they work. You will execute our strategy which focuses strongly on our digital channel, international business, and the future of digital Lottery games. You constantly seek ways to improve our services and processes. Your winning attitude and positive view of a changing world are the foundation of your and our success.

In your role, you are also eager to validate your designs and learn from the experiments we do on our services. Everything we do has a significant impact – small changes can have a big impact, and significant changes can change the whole industry worldwide.

You don't have to do this alone, though. Our team meets hundreds of end-users each year, ensuring that we understand their motivations, what they are looking for in our services, and where we can improve. We also use data and validate our designs through controlled experiments with our data and analytics unit.

This role will require a passionate designer who is willing to collaborate, learn, and make an impact on the daily gaming experience of our customers and the whole industry. In addition, strong communication skills ensure that you can support our design transformation and help our colleagues understand the value we are creating. Equally important is your enthusiastic attitude to work together with our skilled developers and will to ensure the high quality of our services.

What we expect from you:

• 3+ years of professional experience and suitable degree
• Track record of creating user interfaces and visual elements for digital consumer services
• Experience in customer research
• Strong communication skills and ability to share knowledge and design vision for the team
• Experience in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Illustrator

The role is based in Helsinki, Pohjois-Haaga, at the headquarters of Veikkaus. Partial remote working (hybrid model) is also possible.
