As a strongly investing organization, we are now strengthening our Group ICT Solution Development function and looking for a proficient, experienced and service-oriented

SOLUTION DESIGNER, HARBOUR SYSTEMS

to join us in Group ICT, ICT Supply chain application function, in our Espoo or Tampere offices.

What will you get to do?

In this role you get to take responsibility for ICT solution development for harbour systems. You are in a key role capturing development needs as well as implementing and coordinating their execution with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

More specifically, you get to be in charge of gathering business requirements, designing, specifying, implementing and testing new solutions. When changes are made, you implement these changes to existing solutions and control the progress of development. You are also responsible for knowledge transfer to support organizations, and you act as 3rd tier application support. The standards for solution quality are in your desktop too. Your area of expertise includes identifying improvement opportunities by understanding business processes and industry requirements, standards and best practices.

Your responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire solution lifecycle, create roadmaps and annual plans for systems you are responsible of
• Create and maintain the solution documentation together with business, vendors, and other ICT teams and ensure that the documentation corresponds the existing business processes and technical setup.
• Work with Metsä's ERP project and ICT teams to identify possible change needs in harbour systems.
• Manage and/or participate in agreed implementation projects, and lead project definition workshops with business and vendor team members.
• Identify improvement opportunities within own area by understanding business processes and industry requirements, standards, and best practices.

What kind of skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a service minded team player with positive attitude, good communication and cooperation skills. You already have several years’ experience of supply chain processes and harbour operations, either in business or in ICT role. Most importantly you are action and development oriented and you have result focused approach. We appreciate leadership skills and ability to influence people in a matrix organization. Proactive way of working, quality and results should be on your focus as well as.

In addition, we hope you to have:

• Relevant experience in harbour systems development and a relevant degree (e.g. BSc or MSc)
• Knowledge and experience in Supply Chain, especially harbour operations. Experience in SAP systems (e.g. SCM, EWM) is considered as an asset.
• Knowledge of integration technologies and methods.

• Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into effective solution concepts and document them.
• Competence in IT system architecture and solution consulting.
• Fluent Finnish and English language in written and spoken.
