DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
We are now looking for a Development Manager to join our CIO Office team within Veikkaus' game and technology (TECH) function. We at CIO Office ensure TECH functions high-level performance by continuously evolving our operating models, processes, methods, systems and metrics. We are now strengthening our capabilities in the Development Process. The position is permanent and full-time.
Primary responsibilities in this role focus on Veikkaus' Development Process, covering both portfolio management and the development work, primarily within product and project development models. You will drive operational development and implementation of improved working practices, in collaboration with a variety of counterparties and stakeholders. In your role, you will closely participate in the development of Project and Portfolio Management systems used in Veikkaus. You will work closely with TECH's Project Management Office and Veikkaus’ Portfolio Managers, TECH management team, TECH line managers and Veikkaus ICT vendors. Additionally, you will be actively involved in documentation, training, and supporting your colleagues with these processes, practices and tools. Your success in this role is driven by your desire and ability to develop both yourself and Veikkaus' ways of working.
We would be delighted to hear from you if you have:
- Minimum five years of experience in process and tools development in software development area, covering both in-house software and vendor provided software
- Minimum three years of experience in ERP based Project and Portfolio Management tools. We especially value Oracle PPM expertise.
- A solid understanding and competence in implementation of information systems and processes in complex organizational settings
- Expertise in Project & Portfolio Management data & analytics
- Project & program management expertise
- A positive, can-do attitude and approach
- Appropriate university degree e.g. MsC in computer science, engineering or economics
We also appreciate:
- Practical experience in operations development and process analysis
- Experience in agile software development methods
- Experience in public procurement and cooperation with authorities
- Experience of operating in an international environment
Full working proficiency in English is required, and proficiency in Finnish is considered as a plus.

Our office is located at Veikkaus' head office in Helsinki, Pohjois-Haaga. We work in a flexible hybrid work combining remote and onsite work.
