Bioproton Europe Oy is a global company specializing in the development and sale of animal feed additives, including enzyme preparations, probiotics, emulsifiers, and acidifiers. Our mission is to enhance animal nutrition and health through innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Chemist / Enzyme Assay Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in routine laboratory work, as well as developing assays and methods for studying enzyme activity. Experience in assay validation and statistical methods is beneficial. As the role progresses, the specialist will also engage in various laboratory tasks and play a pivotal role in leading and developing laboratory activities.

Duties:
Perform enzyme activity assays specifically for EU registrations.
Participate in development and validation of above mentioned assays.
Design and optimize methodologies for studying enzyme activity.
Perform laboratory tasks (e.g., assays, material storage and disposal, equipment monitoring/maintenance).
Work effectively in a team environment with a professional and positive attitude.
Handle and organize data, and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist in maintaining supply inventories.
Act as a contact person to outside laboratories.
Prepare reports and presentations.
Participate in the Quality Assurance audit process and contribute to the company Quality Control process.

Qualifications:
Masters or Doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or a related field.
Proven experience in laboratory work, assay development and validation.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
