Technical Sales Engineer

Are you an energetic and customer-oriented person who wants to move our customers’ performance forward?

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to be a member of our Pulp Drying Line sales team in the Wood and Pulp Handling Business Unit. As Technical Sales Engineer, you will be in charge of making technical specifications and related cost inquiries for pulp drying sales projects. You will ensure high quality documentation from different sources in a fast-paced environment and check the information is accurate, consistent and in line with Valmet and customer requirements. You will also create and modify documents yourself. You will be working closely with the Sales Manager and our technical sales teams also in other Valmet locations.

Position is a temporary maternity leave substitution (for approximately nine months).


To be successful in this position, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration and experience of technical products, systems and applications within the Pulp and Paper Industry. You should also have a strong understanding of basic cost accounting and margins. You are fluent in Finnish and English, both written and oral. Other languages are an asset.

We appreciate a team player with a high level of commitment and a proactive approach. You are detail-oriented but can understand complex products as a whole. You have excellent communication skills and you enjoy working with people.
