We are looking for an experienced
Marketing Director
to work in Ponsse Group Global Sales, Service & Marketing team in Finland. (Location negotiable)

In this role as the global Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth on a global scale. You will be leading the team of Area Marketing and Communications Managers who are positioned in the geographical areas, Nordics, Europe, South America, North America and Asia, Australia & Africa. These team members are working to implement the global marketing and communication strategy across their specific areas, managing the day -to day marketing, communications, and event support for business within the area and bringing important customer insights to the global team and developments from the area.
You will lead and develop Ponsse’s global marketing & brand strategy, including also external and internal communication roadmap together with global marketing and communications team. You will be responsible for understanding our customer needs, Ponsse products and ensuring our marketing strategy impacts positively to customer experience, market share development, net sales, and brand reputation along with positive business results. Additionally, you will be interacting with areas, including the dealers in the area, Markets and other Ponsse functions, like R&D and Product Management Office. In this role you are responsible for developing and driving the Ponsse Marketing and Communications and on its behalf securing the customer interest to Ponsse Solutions, Product Launches, and internal and external communications. Role supports the execution of Ponsse strategy with marketing and communication activities, including process and practices to achieve the business targets set supporting overall Ponsse results and targets. You will work closely in collaboration within area organization and other functions across Ponsse to ensure smooth implementation of the Marketing and Communications and participates to the Sales and Service strategy creation providing inputs and means to fulfill the needed targets. Facilitation of yearly plan of shows, events, press activities and collecting a global view of them. Participation in the new product launch process belongs to your duties as well. When needed, involvement in the discussions/meetings with area/country management to align the needed activities to reach the sales targets.
Required qualifications in this role:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Communication area or equivalent related field.
- Proven experience of at least 8-10 years in marketing, sales and/or communications managerial roles in an international context e.g. global role or global company.
- Experience in leading area or similar type of organization / team in terms of marketing, communication, or related projects.
- Proven track record of successfully leading marketing and/or communication projects, marketing strategy creation / development or other similar type of customer experience related projects.
- Understanding the heave duty machinery, forest business, forest markets and customers is seen as beneficial.
- Proficiency in using modern marketing tools and platforms and measurements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel and be present in the countries.
- Fluent English. Other languages are an advantage.
As a person you have an ability to collaborate, lead with diversely skilled teams and external partners, as well as negotiate and resolve communication matters effectively. You are proactive, creative and ideate and you meet tight deadlines, and you work well under pressure. You also have strong problem-solving skills to solve problems and work in a diverse team and see solutions rather than problems.

You will be part of the Ponsse’s Group Global Sales, Service & Marketing team, reporting to Chief Sales, Service & Marketing officer and working closely with the team globally across the Ponsse countries and subsidiaries. Your working location would be preferably in Finland or other Ponsse countries are possible. In Finland our office locations are Vieremä, Kuopio and Tampere, in this role hybrid working model is possible. Some amount of travelling is required in this role.
