Company? Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces is home to beloved brands like Tori, Oikotie, FINN, Blocket, Den Blå Avis and Bilbasen. Together, we're on a quest to become the Next Generation Marketplace. To achieve this ambitious goal, we're building a New Generation Marketplace platform that will propel our verticals (ReCommerce, Jobs, Mobility and Real Estate) to a leading position in all countries.
Why us? This is a unique chance to join us on our way to creating the new multi-brand platform with the ReCommerce squad on the mission to make the sustainable choice the obvious choice! Our benefits include 6 weeks of holidays per year, recreational and lunch benefits on top of your salary, and flexible working hours and spots!
Sounds like your cup of tea? Check out the details below!
WHO ARE YOU?
- Mastering iOS development in Swift, UIKit, testing and model Swift concurrency.
- You’ve already gathered relevant experience in product development.
- It’s a plus if you have experience or knowledge of MVVM architecture, SwiftUI, and SnapshotTesting.
- Fluency in English (even on Monday mornings;-).
- As a person, you are a curious self-driven mind, willing to develop yourself and take on challenges with a problem-solver mindset. Not to forget, you like spending some quality time together with your team with off-work chills too!
WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?
Day-to-day work & Projects
As our new iOS developer, you’re joining the Seller Experience product team (part of the ReCommerce vertical) which has the goal to enhance the sellers’ listings performances on the New Generation Marketplace. Your main focus is on developing and enhancing iOS development to optimize the users’ listings experience. This includes implementing new features and functionalities related to the management of listings on the platform for example by creating intuitive user interfaces and ensuring smooth interactions for users when creating, editing, and managing their listings. You also investigate and troubleshoot problems, implement necessary fixes, and thoroughly test the iOS app to ensure the highest quality and reliability. Your curious mindset is key to keeping yourself up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in iOS development. This includes exploring new frameworks, tools, and technologies that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the iOS app. Your chances to make an impact don’t limit to iOS development, but you also actively contribute to product decisions, provide valuable insights, and collaborate closely with both developers and product teams: your experience in product development and goal alignment is essential in shaping the platform direction and achieving our collective objectives.
Not everything is cotton-candy clouds, so here’s the main opportunity to create an impact!
ReCommerce is the first vertical tasked with moving from four different brands and app/web experiences to the common platform, so we have a lot of ground to cover as we build a new experience for our users visiting us more than 100 million times per month. If on the one hand, this comes with a fair amount of unseen scenarios, on the other hand, this brings along a great opportunity to create impact for a large, growing technology-driven business with a Nordic scope!
Goals
During your first few months, we support you to get on board, settle in the team, gradually take over your role and collaboratively starting delivering on the iOS side. Further down the road, we’re eager to see you standing on your own (we’re here to have your back!). For example, your expertise is needed in product discovery initiatives where you would act as a tech expert. How do we bring even more traffic and new listings to our recommerce platforms, it’s up to you and to the team!
Colleagues
Our Seller Experience product team, gathering together 7 bright experts including a product manager and designer, iOS, Android and backend developer, and the rest of the Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces tech community are eagerly waiting for your first day!
How do we collaborate? We win together by celebrating and caring for each other, we encourage each other to be curious and actively develop ourselves for example with the help of LinkedIn Learning platform and Schibsted level training, and we are empowered to be fearless to share ideas and challenge ourselves to really make a difference for our customers.
