A different design office. Yes, that's what we are. When our customers digitize their business or automate their production, they trust us. Whether aiming for new innovative products, safer machines, production efficiency or additional capacity, you are one of the key experts in our projects. Would you be interested in hearing in more detail what kind of world you would enter when becoming our co-worker?
In your role, you will provide power electronics expertise in embedded hardware architecture and electronics design assignments in different fields of technologies and industry sectors.
This diverse role and our extremely diverse clients offer you a wide range of opportunities for self-realization and development. It is possible for you to work based on your own strengths as we strive to consider your wishes regarding projects and your daily work.
Why Join Us?
At our company, we believe in empowering our team members to grow and excel. With us, you'll work on diverse projects across various fields of technology. Whether you're driven by learning new skills, tackling challenging problems, or collaborating with brilliant minds, we've got the platform to support your journey. Plus, you'll benefit from:
- A hybrid work model, with 2-3 days in Tampere for collaboration and innovation (project-dependent). - Relocation is not supported by Etteplan. - The opportunity to work onsite for customer projects and make a tangible impact. - A strong community of expert colleagues who have your back.
To succeed in this role, you have a solid experience in embedded electronics design and architecture. Probably also used to perform practical hands-on work in a lab setting with electronic devices and measurement equipment. Additionally you embody good analytical skills and preferably hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Embedded Systems or a similar applicable area. You are also fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English. As a senior co-worker you also find it inspiring to guide less experienced colleagues to grow!
We expect knowledge and experience in the following topics:
- Electric vehicle (EV) electronics and charger design - Switched mode power supply topologies (buck, boost, Forward, Flyback, resonant, quasi resonant, PFC) - Understanding EMI / EMC concepts and debugging - Estimate power losses and thermal stress for various semiconductors (IGBTs, MOSFETs, diodes) - Transformer/inductor design (gap, core material, insulation, reinforced, double, P/SELV) - Different semiconductors, e.g. IGBT, GaN and SiC FETs (control, power loss, Thermal stress)
We also appreciate knowledge/experience in one or more of the following topics:
- Embedded HW development (MCU, analog and digital IC, and their typical interfaces) - RF, wireless protocols (e.g. BLE, WiFi, 4/5G, etc.) - DFM / DFT - Battery powered and low-power electronics
