This position reports to Segment Sales Manager.
Your role and responsibilities
We are looking now for a new Sales Manager to join our team at the Distribution Solutions division in Vaasa. In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of electrical grid components and developing the business to reach new levels in Finland. You will work with multiple sales channels, but also stakeholders both externally and internally and drive business impact connecting the dots across ABB Electrification as needed. Please also note that this position requires some travel inside Finland.
The key to this role is collaboration and having an active, open mindset for creating solutions to help our customers succeed in their business. As you will be working in co-operation with our local sales team and our supplying factories to develop the existing and new business, a team player having a "can do"-attitude with good communication skills are highly appreciated parts of your personality

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Taking responsibility for developing and ensuring our grid component sales to meet our set targets
- Creating close relationships with our key customers and ensuring added value from our solutions to support their business.
- Creating offers, being responsible on closing the sales and giving technical support on our grid component products
- Executing marketing activities to create awareness and to communicate offered value in ABB solutions among channel partners and end customers
- Co-operating with our supplying factory sales team to meet sales targets and to find new sustainable solutions to meet market needs
- Collaboration as a part of our local sales team where you will both help the team with your expertise and receive support from others
- Creating marketing materials for grid components according to local needs in co-operation with our product management, ensuring that our marketing activities are prioritized according to market needs
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor's or Master's level degree in an area such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Sales and Marketing degrees are also considered an advantage
- Several years of proven track-record from B2B marketing or sales positions in a global technology focused environment
- Effective communication skills with specifically good ability to communicate well with various stakeholders and customers
- A team player attitude with high level of ownership in completing tasks and asking for help if needed
- Excellent capabilities in building new relationships and managing the existing ones among stakeholders
- Proficient IT program skills from MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Finnish is seen as essential due to the nature and locality of the job and our local stakeholders
- Swedish skills are seen as an advantage
