The position is fixed-term, from 15 January 2025 (or as agreed) to 31 July 2027.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop advanced material management maturity model for supply network management in large industrial ecosystem. Additionally, you will focus on studying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on supply network management and the ability to use these KPIs on GHG Scope 3 sustainability reporting. This research is carried out in large international project consortium of seven European universities and six collaborating companies from focal industrial ecosystem.
This researcher position offers flexibility, allowing for customization based on individual interests and background knowledge.
WHAT WE EXPECT
A strong academic foundation in industrial management, general management, industrial economics, material management, logistics, industrial sustainability management, industrial marketing and purchasing management, mega project management or a related field is required. Proficiency in maturity model design with qualitative research methods (e.g., in quality management systems, SNA) and knowledge on modern computational methods (e.g., digital systems, data visualization, evolutionary algorithms or reinforcement learning) for optimizing complex systems will be advantageous.
To succeed in this role, you must have a good command of the English language, as it serves as the primary language for communication and collaboration within our team and with our academic partners.
Additionally, a strong command of high-level research methodology, either qualitative or quantitative, is required. Participation in H2020, Horizon Europe or similar project is of value.
You will work in a dynamic environment that requires a flexible attitude and openness to new research challenges that the group collectively tackles. You will be expected to explore and consider different empirical data collecting methods adapting your approach to the ongoing project needs.

While this is a fixed-term position, there is a possibility for extension depending on demonstrated performance and the ongoing projects at the time of contract conclusion. Factors such as academic publications produced, research outcomes, and contributions to collaborative initiatives will be considered when evaluating the potential for contract extension.
The position also offers the option to participate in M.Sc. level tuition for Master School degree programmes.
For candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree, there is potential for collaboration with the Åbo Academi (ÅA) University of Turku, Finland, pending approval for a Ph.D. studentship.
