Founded in 2003, Munax has built its success around innovation, high food safety and responsibility. Today, Munax is the leading supplier of shell eggs and processed, pasteurized egg products in Finland. We operate also in the export business. We employ approximately 115 employees and our turnover in 2023 was approximately €60 million. Munax Oy is a part of the Danish DANAEG group, which has operations in Denmark, Finland and Sweden. We produce our products in Finland, from eggs from Finnish family farms. Our eggs and egg products can be found in retail stores, food service and as ingredients in several food products.

Munax Oy is currently seeking an

ACCOUNTANT/FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

to join the team in our local HQ in Laitila. We are currently a team of 5 including the Finance Director, who needs a reliable, detail-oriented person by his side to handle the G/L.

In this role you would be responsible for financial accounting of the whole company. You are familiar with month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations. You can be junior or senior on your finance career, we are firstly seeking a person who has the ability and drive to learn new things and carry out the duties responsibly in the given time frame. Flexibility during the monthly closing process is necessary. We wish you have good skills in MS Excel and experience with MS Dynamics Nav is a big plus.

We're approaching a time where we'll have an implementation project on MS Business Central to ensure smooth reporting to Danaeg Group, a project in which you could be one of the key players. Therefore it is beneficial if you have experience of similar transformation projects.

Your tasks would include (or are expected to grow into)

G/L accounting and reconciliation
Tax reporting (VAT, produce, real estate, annual)
Fixed asset accounting
Payments and reconciling bank accounts with the G/L
AP/AR and credit controlling

To succeed in this role, you would benefit of having

A relevant degree (BSc/MSc in Finance and Accounting or similar)
High ability to learn and good numerical reasoning skills
Flexibility during the monthly reporting process
Former experience in accounting
People-oriented approach in that you happily join our coffee breaks and meet your co-workers when they need help from you
Motivation to adhere to accounting principles and be the one who has patience for nitty-gritty details
Drive to get things done and deliver the results
Interest to follow the regulatory changes on the area of financial accounting
Natural tendency to cope with pressure and setbacks
Written and spoken Finnish and English skills.
