What kind of summer job awaits you?

The scope of your work at Metsä Group will be varied and offer a wide range of learning opportunities. The tasks range from routine and assisting assignments to larger projects with more responsibility and development work carried out independently, depending on your own experience and willingness to develop your competencies.

You will work as a team manager or in other white collar positions at our pulp mill or sawmill in Rauma.  

• As a team manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of your team, and you will enable your team members’ development.

• In planning positions, you will play a key role in enabling safe, high quality and efficient production.

You will be part of the mill’s production team and work closely with external partners.

What are we expecting of you?
 

These summer jobs are well suited for students of, for example, mechanical engineering or automation/electrical engineering, bioproduct or process engineering. Previous experience in production or maintenance are an advantage. You have responsible and motivated work ethic. You want to develop your skills and have an independent approach to work and have active problem-solving skills. You will be able to work in English.

Some of the tasks require Finnish language skills, but not all. We will consider also applicants who don’t have good Finnish language skills.

Anonymous recruitment – this is how it works

This is an anonymous recruitment process. The gender and date of birth of the applicant are not asked for on the application form. Personal details such as name, mother tongue, time of studies, name of educational institution and contact details are hidden until the interview stage. Attachments (such as CVs) are also hidden.

Recruiters have access to the contact details of those invited for interview once the applicant has been selected for interview.

Our system will guide you through the application process. The questions on the application form will help you present your skills and experience anonymously. Answer all questions carefully. If you’re invited for interview, your CV will be displayed to the recruiters to support the interview.

Note that attachments won’t be visible in anonymous recruitment until the interview stage, so it’s important to fill in the application form carefully.
