What kind of summer job awaits you?
We are looking for summer trainees to join our Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Process Automation Artificial Intelligence (AI) summer trainee program ‘Discover Metsä with automation’. Within the program, you will get to work in close co-operation with our business personnel and you will be supported by our process automation professionals in IT – and of course you will get to network with the other summer trainees in the program.
We have gathered some actual and topical cases around process automations from our core processes and we will select the right one for you based on your background and interests. Your focus for the summer will be around the selected automation business use cases, but there might be some additional assignments as well.
Metsä Group’s process automation foundation relies on modern tools and technologies, and you will be supported and guided in ways of working with them. There is an increasing demand towards new automation possibilities in Metsä Group. You will get the change to take part in our automation journey and perhaps, your discoveries will guide us to new directions.
For summer 2025, we are looking for trainees to join Robotic Process Automation team
State clearly at the beginning of your application which of the process areas you prefer. In addition, please describe your possible prior expertise or future ambitions in the field you are applying for.
What we expect from you?
We expect you to be reliable, flexible, proactive and a good team player. We value your ability to work independently and your willingness to learn and develop on the job.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to study/have studied one of the following fields: Information Technology, Data Science, Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, or similar. You need competence in using MS Office tools and we appreciate experience in process automation and/or AI in your studies or previous work assignments.

Anonymous recruitment – this is how it works
This is an anonymous recruitment process. The gender and date of birth of the applicant are not asked for on the application form. Personal details such as name, mother tongue, time of studies, name of educational institution and contact details are hidden until the interview stage. Attachments (such as CVs) are also hidden.
Recruiters have access to the contact details of those invited for interview once the applicant has been selected for interview.
