Product Engineer - Wastewater Product Line, Evac, Espoo

Evac is looking for a Product Engineer to join their team of professionals. In this role you will be working partly at the Hyrylä test facility, coordinating the testing of wastewater equipment and reporting of the test results. This role is an excellent stepping stone for a junior professional and offers a great opportunity for professional development in a global setting.

Kuvaus

As a Product Engineer, you will work as an integral part of the team focusing on the wastewater product line. Your responsibilities will include for example coordinating testing of wastewater equipment in Hyrylä test facility, reporting of test results, communication between different stakeholders and equipment suppliers, and planning, defining and executing product development projects. Good knowledge of wastewater treatment and experience with test equipment help you to succeed in this role. Additionally, you are not afraid to get your hands dirty during testing and feel comfortable working with wastewater equipment.

The office is located in Leppävaara, and Evac offers a flexible remote work opportunity when work tasks allow it. Especially during the onboarding period, we appreciate availability to work in the office. Additionally, this role requires testing on-site (Hyrylä, Tuusula) at least 2 days/week.

Work tasks

• Coordinating testing of wastewater equipment in Hyrylä test facility
• Reporting of test results
• Communication between different stakeholders and equipment suppliers
• Planning, defining and executing product development projects
• Creating and communicating tasks to other engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, documentation, automation & electrical) using JIRA
• Follow-up of development project progress and reporting to product line management
• Product data management in Windchill PDM
• Technical support for other stakeholders (sales & business support, procurement, delivery projects, suppliers)

We are looking for

• Suitable educational background (e.g. M.Sc or B.Sc in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering)
• Some previous work experience in related tasks
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment and test equipment experience
• Good problem solving skills when dealing with process equipment (pumps, blowers, instruments, piping, electrical & automation)
• Basic knowledge of design software and PDM
• Willingness to work with wastewater equipment

It is meritorious if you have

• Creo/Windchill experience
• Experience in component supplier communication
• Finnish language skills
