We are looking for a
Logistics Safety manager
to join our Safety team Logistics & Feedstocks, in Espoo, Finland.
You will focus on cooperation with Neste internal stakeholders in respect to safe logistics and give input to the safety improvement initiatives within Neste Logistics & Commercial Operations.
We have a global team of experts supporting safe transportation on road, rail and sea, managed by Neste or our logistics service providers. Our team is supporting Logistics & Commercial Operations in securing globally the safe storage, delivery and loading/unloading operations of renewable products as well as feedstock. We support our internal customers to meet the legal and company requirements in their day-to-day activities by working closely with the Logistics team and external service providers.

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are
Give support for logistics service providers’ safety management by improving the way of working with Neste (audits, HSSEQ requirements, incident reporting)
Provide expert advice in road and rail transport
Give input to Logistics agreements and planning
Continual improvement of the Safety management system of Logistics & Commercial Operations
The best combination to success in this role
MSc or equivalent, experience relevant to this role (technical or commercial education)
Several years of experience in international logistics (road, rail, containers) including safety aspects
Proven track record in developing and implementing safety in logistics, reaching results and driving change
Understanding of relevant international logistics practices
Fluent English (oral and written)
Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and drive implementation of above mentioned requirements in a key position across a diverse organisation
Analytical and proactive mindset with eagerness to learn new things
We also value
Experience in non-bulk (rail, truck, container) logistics
Safety advisor, both road (ADR) and rail (RID) (any EU country)
Understanding of relevant laws and regulations
Project and stakeholder management experience
Willingness to travel
Responsible attitude with a safety-oriented mindset
