We are looking for you,
Logistics Planning Coordinator
to join our Logistics & Operations EMEA Logistics Planning and Terminal Coordination team in Espoo, Finland. If you are interested in an opportunity to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders and be an enabler for excellent daily operations in a growing global environment, this is your chance!
You will be a team member in the Logistics & Operations EMEA / Logistics Planning and Terminal Coordination team and work closely with the Operations team, which coordinates all operative and logistics matters in renewable and petroleum product and raw material shipments as well as takes care of customer service functions. You will be involved in the day to day execution of raw material purchase operations associated mainly with shipments by trucks, rail and containers to our storage locations across the whole Europe.
You will manage truck, rail and container related transportation by focusing on operational efficiency, digitalization, and automation initiatives. In this job you will work closely with carriers, terminals and other stakeholders. Your main internal stakeholders include Logistics Planning team members, Commercial Operations Coordinators and Terminal Coordinators. Day-to-day work also includes transportation related extra costs (demurrage, detention, residue, damages etc.) handling and claims process management.
In our team, you will have flexibility to work remotely or in our headquarter office, meet people face-to-face and in online calls as well as have your independent desk to take care of. Your role in our team
Main responsibilities in this role
Carrying out transport order management tasks in compliance with Neste principles and processes including
Bookings & confirmations
Handling and generating transportation documentation
Coordinating, tracking and tracing deliveries
Follow-up & Claims handling
Exception management
Delivery quality and quantity monitoring
Self-leading way and responsibility of giving operational guidance (compliance etc.) to operations, trader, sales/supply manager and supply chain management
Participation in designated project and process work
Other possible responsibilities and tasks assigned by the management
Keys to success in this role
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
Degree in logistics, business or similar studies
Good knowledge of logistics and transportation planning, especially container (deep-sea & multimodal) and truck transportation
Preferably more than ~5 years of experience in collaborating with shipping lines, forwarders and other stakeholders in transportation field
Previous experience of logistics operations workflow and efficient ways of carrying out operations
Good and proactive communication and collaboration skills
Fluency in English, both written and oral
Performance driven with accuracy and attention to details
Ability to cope with constant changes and hectic work environment
Hands on experience with different IT-systems; experience with ERP systems (especially with SAP), TMS systems, knowledge of Google tools (GMail, Sheets, Slides, Docs) and MS Excel
Other strengths we value
Knowledge of liquid bulk logistics and relevant transportation equipment
Strong technology, analytical and communication skills
Commercial awareness - understanding drivers of a commercial trade and associated P&L
