We are now looking for a motivated Electrochemist to join our client company Elmery Oy. In this role you get to work in an innovative start-up company that provides a patented unique metal recovery technology for refineries to better circulate the metals, increasing cost efficiency and sustainability. You´ll be working in a small team in the laboratory at Espoo and perform chemical experiments for clients. To succeed in this role you need to have at least few years of practical experience with electrochemical deposition and characterization techniques. In addition to this we are looking for a person who is driven, curious and confident with expressing their opinion. Kuvaus
In this role you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge development and implementation of electrochemical solutions, contributing to the scalability and sustainability of metal recovery on a global scale. You will be an essential part of electrochemical experiments, including sample preparation, characterization of the processed solutions, as well as data management and reports. The daily work will take place at Elmery’s laboratory, located in Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland. However, there will be occasions that necessitate travelling to our customers’ premises across the globe.

We are looking for
- Knowledge in electrochemistry, particularly in EW and/or ER.
- Practical experience with electrochemical deposition and characterization techniques.
- Hands on experience with elemental characterization techniques for solutions (ICP/AAS/etc.) and solids (SEM-EDX/XR(F/D)/Raman/etc.).
- Capability to resolve (technical and practical) problems.
- Capability to work both individually and as a part of a team.
- Fluent in English
We see as an advantage for the role:
- Further knowledge in inorganic chemistry.
- Previous experience with simulation software (e.g., COMSOL Multiphysics®).
