Your role and responsibilities
This role is unique and offers the opportunity to create and develop something new. In this position, you will have full end to end business responsibility. You will be driving the development of our newly launched medium voltage technology, which is a completely new technology concept in the industrial market. The target market is international, so this role requires a readiness for international travel. You will also need strong networking, influencing, and collaboration skills within the company, with external customers, across various customer segments, and possibly with regulatory authorities.

You will lead a team of dedicated technology and product development professionals, and your people-oriented, results-driven leadership will be one of your key responsibilities. Overall, you will be accountable for all operations of this startup-like business, including product development, commercialization, market development, sales management, strategy creation, organizational leadership, and the ramp-up and enhancement of operational activities.

We offer a hybrid work model, but the role requires presence in Helsinki approximately 70% of the work time.

This position reports to Regional Division Manager, Europe.

You will be mainly accountable for:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the business strategy and ensuring that the business development meets its targets, including profit and loss objectives. Since the product has just been launched, the initial focus will also be on strong product development and commercialization management. Additionally, you have the ability and willingness to develop markets, customer relationships, and go-to-market models.

You demonstrate strong strategic capabilities to develop the business, as well as a hands-on approach typical of a startup environment, allowing you to immerse yourself in tasks and execute effectively. Furthermore, you possess the courage to innovate and create new business opportunities.

Qualifications for the role:
- Proven track record in managing product/technology development: demonstrated ability to oversee the development of products and technologies from concept to completion
- Skilled in managing productification and business ramp-up: adept at transitioning products from development to market readiness and scaling business operations effectively
- Expertise in implementing and managing business development with P&L responsibility: strong background in driving business growth and managing profit and loss, ensuring financial health and strategic alignment
- Proficiency in market and sales development: deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs, with a history of developing market strategies and driving sales growth
- Good understanding and long experience in medium and high voltage motors and drives industry, from business, product and market perspective, is essential for the success
- Strong customer focus mindset, systematic and target-oriented way of working and a professional, "can-do" attitude
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to develop and manage effective working relationships at all levels in a multi-culture environment
- Fluent written and spoken skills in Finnish and English
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree preferably in Engineering
