We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Specialist at Hitachi Energy, Transformers in Vaasa. In this position you will be responsible for the project-specific engineering and electrical design of special transformers and reactors. You will be part of the tender and order delivery process of the most complex and demanding transformer and reactor designs that the industry has to offer. This is a great opportunity for personal development. Depending on your background, we will provide training and support to help you grow into this role.

Your responsibilities
- The economical, electrically and mechanically sound, and optimized electrical design of transformers and reactors.
- Electrical designs for tenders and final electrical designs for production.

Your background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering.
- A few years work experience in a relevant position.
- A good understanding of electrical engineering, manufacturing and material technology.
- The ability to work systematically and handle occasional stressful situations.
- The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong verbal and written skills in Finnish and English; other language skills are an advantage.
- An understanding of mechanical engineering is seen as advantage.
- Experience and knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools is seen as advantage.
