A 35-year-old woman is looking for a full-time assistant to help with basic daily activities such as toileting, hygiene, moving, dressing, running errands, hobbies, e-mails, cleaning, shopping, cooking, and maintenance of clothes. No nursing. The work requires an independent approach, cooperation skills with other assistants, extroversion, the ability to manage large entities and responsibility. Since the assisted person herself has difficulties controlling her actions, you must be able to control your actions yourself.

It would also be important that the person chares same interests. I enjoy playing, reading, culture, swimming, camping, and skiing, so you are ready to join my hobbies. Skiing or is considered a big advantage!. If you are interested in more intense assistance and e.g. in skiing, you can live e.g. in Northern Finland. I travel 3-4 times a week in Finland. The work is physically demanding because I move around a lot using a wheelchair. The work includes helping with swimming, stretching, lifting and transferring from a chair, floor, bed, etc. I also need help with scheduling and organizing things.

I work in the media branch and your interest in it is considered as an advantage. I'm looking a committed person who has a positive attitude towards life, appreciates her/his work, likes challenges and is flexible. I expect that the assistant is ready to travel with me in Finland. My schedules often change quickly, so work is far from repeating routines. As a counterweight, you get to travel and participate in interesting events and happenings. In addition to work, the routine of the day includes staying at home, watching movies and relaxed life with laughter and a cup of tea. I love Michael Monroe, whose concerts I often go.

It would be good if your English is fluent, but the most important thing is the desire to work with a disabled person. You should be tall enough (approx. 165 cm) and you should not have over- or under-mobility joints or other health problems. Life experience and the ability to operate independently are important at work. Familiarity with Finnish culture is an advantage.

The salary can increase as work performance improves. As a rule, the work is 2-shift work between Mon-Sun, also 3-shift work and period work approx. 150h/month including night shifts and traveling in the country, when agreed. At the request of the employees, we make longer working hours, which results in longer time off. The shifts are agreed monthly among the team members, taking into account all wishes and needs. Supplements are paid for weekends and evenings. The assistant is also required to be prepared for possible emergency work. We do not require vaccinations from the assistant. It would be desirable if you have a car available.
