Are you the one to lead and further develop Operational Excellence function and processes in Paper business line?
We are now looking for an experienced professional to lead the Operational Excellence function in Paper business line. The Paper BL supplies board, tissue and paper machinery, tissue converting lines, equipment and machine rebuilds for the board, tissue and paper industries. The solutions are designed to be fit-for-purpose, focusing on energy and raw material savings, efficiency, flexibility and safety.
As global Head of Operational Excellence, you will together with your team and stakeholders focus on leading and accelerating the strategic initiatives in business line Supply Chain and Category Management, Quality & Risk Management, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) and Operational Development including processes, reporting and analytics. You will also be in key role in our new ERP implementation process.
In this role you will manage and develop operations, processes, and continuous improvement within the Operational Excellence function. In practice this means for example leading and optimizing quality cost and HSE performance, supporting the development of our digital roadmap and ensuring business process harmonization, development and compliance with the Valmet Global Management System. Driving sustainability and climate program initiatives are close to your heart and you know your way to identify best practices and establish benchmarking frameworks. Together with your professional team you align must-win initiatives and their completion within the Paper BL and support various business development, acquisition and integration projects.
You ensure the development of Paper BL's Operational Excellence management and performance by leading the network proactively towards the targets, including the definition of roles and responsibilities. Stakeholder management in global matrix organization across various Paper BL business units, Valmet business lines and global functions is one of your key competences and resource management and competence development within network is one of your key priorities. You will be challenged by a wide range of projects and contribute to success in all areas of development, so collaboration and teamwork is the route to success.
You will be a member of the Paper BL Management Team and will report to Paper BL President. The position will be based in one of our major location in Finland.
Who is the professional we are looking for?
You will establish credibility quickly and fit into a diverse team smoothly, gaining trust and building rapport
with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. You have proven track record in strategy formulation, business development and influencing and aligning stakeholders to achieve complex, often conflicting goals across organizational boundaries. Solid leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are your personal traits to create engagement. You have the needed basics in place: a university degree in relevant field and preferably 8-10 years of work experience in leadership roles in relevant fields of operations, such as supply chain management, process development, quality and HSE.
Your strategic mindset and background enables you to provide vision and roadmaps for development initiatives. You understand the global requirements and best practices, and you drive process adaptation, implementation and compliance. Driving successful change processes is also one of your trademarks.
