In our Electric Vehicle Systems business line (EVS) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
Here’s where you’ll make an impact:
In the role of Test Manager you are responsible for test management within the Battery Testing domain. Test specification and managing test operation in internal or external test centers and creating and reporting test results are the key focus areas of your job. You are also responsible for single test up to multiple test sequences and completing test plans. You work in close relation with the technical product development team.
Your tasks will also include:
- Design of test plans for cells, modules and high voltage battery systems, definition of test scope, number & technical description of test units, test bench planning
- Test requirement definition and compliance with them during test operation
- Own test operation of soft- & hardware tests during the test set-up phase
- Support test operation at external test partners or customers
- Plan and define necessary prototypes and support prototyping / manufacturing
- Failure analysis & evaluation on battery systems (BUS system, etc.)
- Point out optimization potentials
- Support project calculation during sales and project controlling while project operation
- Execution of single tests, test sequences or complete test plans
- Evaluation of the measurement data incl. writing of test documentation (influence)
We hope that you would have:
- Suitable educational background, e.g. M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, computer science or automation engineering or other similar field
- Experience in test management, battery test operation & product development processes within the automotive industry
- Knowledge in the field of measurement technology, electrics and electronics
- Experience with Vector CANoe, skilled with MS Office
- Confident appearance and assertiveness, team-oriented, good communication skills, high flexibility and readiness for action
- Fluent spoken and written English, Finnish and German language skills are an advantage
