We at GF Building Flow Solutions’ Financial Services are looking for a new colleague to join our team as Team Lead, Payables Management, as we strengthen our team on our road to harmonize financial end-to-end processes by placing process automation, robotics and digitalization at its core. Our team’s office is located in Helsinki, Finland, near good transport links. The Financial Services Center was established five years ago and today we offer transactional financial services to 15 legal units, representing nine European countries, and work in close cooperation with business controllers and business representatives as well as GF Building Flow Solutions Division Finance team. As Team Lead, Payables Management, you will report to Director, Financial Services.

Your responsibilities will be:
Managing, supervising and leading the Payables Management a multicultural team of 12 people to ensure proper staffing, work allocation, staff performance, motivation and development
Providing coaching for the team’s daily operations and issue solving, facilitating knowledge management for continuous development
Overall responsibility for service team delivery, measured by appropriate KPIs
Creating, maintaining and analysing relevant KPIs to ensure team performance and service level
Supervising the AP period end closing process in given schedule
Participating to internal and external audit processes
Participating in the operative work of a defined area, e.g. AP month-end closing responsibilities, process exception approvals and management
Driving proactively continuous development in Accounts Payable to ensure harmonized and efficient processes in cooperation with other Financial Services and IT teams
Onboarding new employees, in cooperation with HR and other Team Leads
Cooperating with Director, Financial Services, and other Team Leads to balance and optimize capacity utilization as well as continuous development in our common ways of working in Financial Services organization
Cooperating with Director, Financial Services, to ensure continuous improvement and proactive development mindset in process
To succeed in this position, you should have:
5+ years of relevant experience in Finance
Team Lead/supervisory experience in Finance function
In-depth accounting knowledge of AP, good understanding of procure-to-pay process and accounting processes in general
Experience from an international shared services environment and multicultural teams considered an asset
Experience from transitions and operational excellence (e.g. Lean) initiatives considered an asset
University degree is desired (not mandatory), educational background in accounting/economics
Fluent written and spoken English, any other language skills considered an assetOracle ERP and Basware P2P or similar systems knowledge is required
Additionally, you have strong people management and collaboration skills as well as the drive to create a high-performance culture. You are also a genuine team player with a development-oriented mindset.
