We are looking for a Safety Engineer to our client in Tampere to a company working with non-road mobile machinery.
The role primarily focuses on safety activities outlined in the company's product safety process and involves supporting both the product development and customer project teams. As a Safety Engineer, your main responsibilities will include conducting functional safety-related tasks within automation development projects, providing assistance to customer projects regarding product safety, and serving as an expert in implementing new product safety policies, standards, and regulations into the daily operations of the development team.

We are looking for a candidate, who has experience and knowledge in automation preferably with a focus on product safety. Our ideal candidate is a valiant and communicatively skilled person, who works efficiently and gets things done, also in a tight timeframe. Work tasks
- Functional safety related activities in automation development projects
- Support R&D technical product owners and customer projects as a Safety expert (e.g. risk assessments, documentation)
- Introducing, maintaining, and developing safety regulations, policies, and standards in automation product development
- Following safety trends and advising internal shareholders in safety & liability matters
We are looking for
We are looking for a self-driven person with a technical background (bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering), who works efficiently with people and has great communication skills. We expect you to have experience working in automation projects. We hope that you have passion and a high interest towards safety related matters and that you want to work in a specialist role, where you have a responsibility to make sure that safety requirements are met in automation product development.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Great co-operation skills and enjoys working with different teams and stakeholders
- Fluent English, other languages (such as Finnish) are seen as a merit
- Previous experience and knowledge in automation projects, interested in safety related matters
- Motivation to learn and work in a self-reliant position
Knowledge can be gained through education, experience or self-taught.
