Project Manager (Software development)

Elomatic operates internationally in the Marine, Industry and Pharma industries. We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage software development in the Product Development team inside the Digital Transformation department. In particular, the team develops B2B software to support customer operations.

In this role, you will be the main responsible to plan and report on software development timelines, budgets and quality, and to ensure that the practices of the team are as functional and efficient as possible both now, and in the future.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Project scheduling and progress monitoring
• Defining and monitoring project budgets
• Ensuring the quality of project outputs
• Project reporting to management
• Defining and communicating resource needs
• Risk management
• Support for the product development team
• Improvement of internal processes
• Participating in strategy work

What we expect from you

The person we are looking for already has experience of responsibility roles in software development, as well as a proactive attitude. The person we are looking for will also handle a situation where s/he has to participate in software production work in special situations. We wish the applicant to have knowledge/experience in the marine or plant industry, development of B2B software products (especially CMMS & APM) and project management tools. 

The role requires excellent communication and cooperation skills, fluent English language skills, decision-making ability, willingness to learn new things and adapt to changing situations. We also wish the applicant to have readiness for possible partial evening work due to time difference (Elomatic foreign offices).

Most of the team members work at Elomatic's headquarters in Turku, so the most feasible location to perform the work is Turku. Other options include our offices in Jyväskylä, Espoo or Tampere. Part of the work can be done remotely by agreement.
