As Project Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to leave your mark on Wärtsilä's future and digitalization journey. You will join a project team, which has been preparing for the implementation of the first AI-powered tool for our Legal team, consisting of over 70 legal professionals worldwide.
Your role:
In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful rollout of the AI tool, which is aimed to foster the work of Wärtsilä’s legal professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to support the implementation phase together with the project team, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and on schedule.
Your daily tasks will focus on project coordination, stakeholder communication and further development of the tool. In addition, you’ll be supporting and training the legal team to ensure that the AI-tool can be successfully integrated into their daily practices and independent use. On a daily basis this will include organizing and facilitating project team meetings, diverse communication and internal customer service tasks and also e.g. producing training materials and documentation on project implementation. You will also get to support the legal team in other administrative and legal tech related tasks.
To succeed in your role, you’ll be provided with a comprehensive training to the AI-solution and the project roadmap. Other members of the project team and AI- enthusiastic colleagues from the legal team are also there to support you through the way.
Who and what we are looking for:
In this position, you don’t have to be a skilled professional of project management - as long as you have solid organizing skills, some relevant experience in project work and keen interest in supporting the AI-revolution at Wärtsilä.
This position is a good fit for a recent graduate or if you’re just finishing your degree in university of applied sciences or university. We’re open for different educational backgrounds, and the working hours can be flexible based on the situation of your studies. What matters the most, is your proactive, open minded and persistent attitude, that will support you to lead the project to success.
You’ll be acting as an important liaison between Wärtsilä’s internal stakeholders and the external service provider from the UK, so we’re looking for someone with great collaboration and communication skills, at least in English.
What we expect from you:
- Relevant educational background from university or university of applied sciences
- Previous experience from project work and administrative work, e.g. customer service or communication can be considered as an asset
- Solid skills in the Office 365 -environment and interest towards AI, legal technology and processes
- Great social skills and at least good skills in English: you feel at ease in an international environment, you are a good organizer and can keep several tasks under control simultaneously – and still carry a positive attitude
We consider as an asset:
- Similar experience in e.g. IT implementation or development projects and coordinative responsibilities
- Previous experience from an international working environment
- Finnish or other language skills

Practicalities:
This is a fixed-term position for 8 months, until 31.8.2025 and you will join Wärtsilä as aTalent’s employee. We hope you are available to start in January 2025. The position offers flexibility with working hours, allowing for either full-time or part-time arrangements if you are e.g. currently completing your degree.
The role will be located in Helsinki, and we hope you are able to work at the office at least three days a week as part of a hybrid model. The monthly salary for this position will be negotiated individually, based on your experience and background.
