Manager, Real Estate Finland

Are you ready to boost your career and take on the responsibility of managing Valmet’s real estate in Finland? 

We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and social team player to oversee and manage real estate activities in Finland. Valmet has around 40 owned and leased locations with area of 300 000 sqm and 6600 employees in Finland. You will be part of newly established Valmet Corporate Risk Management & Real Estate team, which is part of Group Treasury and Risk Management function, located in Valmet Head office, in Espoo.  

Your key tasks and responsibilities include: 

• Real estate management:

  • Coordination and active support in real estate management for all Valmet properties and offices (owned and/or leased) in Finland 

  • Development of Valmet’s property and office portfolio in Finland

  • Long-term planning and smooth operation of everyday activities at the various facilities in Finland in collaboration with multiple internal colleagues and external service providers

  • Management and administration of property and/or office projects in Finland (e.g., Lentokentänkatu and Yrittäjänkatu in Tampere, Rautpohja in Jyväskylä, Keilasatama in Espoo, Tikkurila and Hakkila in Vantaa) 

  • Support in global property and facility management

  • Communicating facility-related topics to all relevant stakeholders, e.g. employees, local real estate team, and Business line management

• Cost management: 

  • Controlling the annual budget, facility costs and various contracts, as well as planning and managing investment projects

• Services:

  • Ensuring correct working conditions and good quality for all facility services 

• Safety and Security:

  • Manage security of the premises, various authority requests, facility related certificates and other HSE events. Manage all facility related systems, e.g., building operation system and access control system 

To be successful in this position, you should have: 

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related area and 5+ years working experience in similar facility / real estate operations roles

• Strong communication skills, including proficiency in Finnish and English, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of individuals are essential 

• A positive and proactive attitude is expected, enabling you to navigate even the most demanding work situations 

• Proficiency in IT tools such as MS Office and other relevant software 

• A team player with strong social skills and adaptability to changing situations. Active listening and problem-solving abilities are essential 

• Development oriented mindset and ability to drive change

Your work approach is organized and proactive, allowing you to function effectively and independently.  You are flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and improve your skills will accelerate the learning path.
