LIB PYP and MYP (Grades 1 – 8) Finnish Foreign Language Teacher

(Lower and Upper School Finnish Foreign Language teacher)

The International School of Helsinki seeks to employ a Finnish Foreign Language teacher for grades 1-8 students (approximately 20 teaching hours/ week). This teacher will teach Finnish for students in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in grades 1-5 and will also teach Finnish for students in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in grade 6 – 8. 

The ideal applicant would have a teaching qualification, significant experience teaching Finnish language within this age range, and understand how to integrate language learning within both IB PYP and MYP pedagogy, but this is not a necessity. Candidates who demonstrate a strong affinity for teaching this age range are strongly preferred. Applicants must also display graduate level fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English.
