GF Uponor is looking for a Development Technology Specialist to the Energy Systems team in Nastola, Finland for fixed term parental leave cover. In this role, you will have a responsibility for product development, application design and project management tasks.
The role includes developing technology, systems and products for energy systems, within underfloor heating applications for Central European markets. You participate and manage product development activities in projects and act as an active member in a project team. You will also support other functions with your technical expertise. In addition, your work includes planning and implementation of testing and installations of products. The position involves some amount of traveling.
The role enables you to deliver new solutions from an idea to a final product; including designs, specifications, analyses and prototypes. You will be able to contribute high-level innovative and cost-effective quality solutions in close co-operation with project manager, other project team members, and external partners.
Your key responsibilities:

Act as a technical development lead in product development projects

Generate ideas for new innovative solutions and products

Do mechanical designs and concepting
-
Developing of component and system requirements and specifications

Co-operate cross-functionally to provide technical support and training to sales and other functions

Know customer requirements, give feedback and troubleshoot problems as they arise
-
Ensure that product quality aligns with the organization’s quality standards as well as regulatory quality requirements

Report to functions according to company processes
Requirements:
-
Relevant study degree (B. Sc. or M.Sc.) in the technology field
-
Experience in HVAC, specially from heating applications and building technology
-
Experience within product development and designing mechanical parts for production
-
Self-motivated, collaborative and resourceful working style in addition to excellent organizational skills
-
Knowledge of 3D design tools such as Solid Works or similar
-
Full working proficiency in English and good communication skills

Familiarity with Windchill PDM software

Fluency in Finnish - other languages are seen as an additional advantage

Practicalities:
This is a full-time and fixed term position until the end of January 2025. You will be employed as aTalent employee at Uponor. Start time in the role is as soon as possible. The role will be located in Nastola, and we hope you are able to work at the office at least a few days per week as part of a hybrid model.
