Design Engineer, Mechanical Systems
We are looking to hire an innovative Design Engineer for Mechanical Systems to join our Product Management team within the Waterjet Systems business unit.
As a Design Engineer, your main duties are to support the team in maintaining the design of the existing waterjets as well as developing new solutions for our global waterjet markets. Your main area of work will be around all products in portfolio.
We wish you to be a creative problem solver with good communication skills as you are expected to advise and support various stakeholders that require engineering input. We also require readiness to travel, as in this role, you might be expected to visit our global customers and suppliers.
Key accountabilities
Planning and executing the design of existing waterjet units as well as product development
Creating 3D models, manufacturing drawings and other technical documentation
Providing technical support locally and globally
Qualifications and experience
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical and/or hydraulic engineering
Previous experience with 2D and 3D design tools (we use NX)
Previous experience with PLM systems (we use Team Center)
Elementary understanding of statics and dynamics of machine elements (strength- and vibration analysis) as well as fluid dynamics
Elementary understanding of Finite Element Method (FEM) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Good communication skills in English
You are able to
