As a subsidiary of Mehiläinen, the leading private healthcare company in Finland, BeeHealthy draws on 110+ years of experience in healthcare and 20+ years of experience in developing digital services and software inhouse. BeeHealthy has just started its journey and is in a strong growth mode. We are currently +80 dedicated professionals based in Helsinki, Tallinn, Amsterdam and Dubai, expanding both domestically in Finland and across the EMEA region. 

As a  Database Administrator you will:

• Maintaining agreed governances regarding infrastructure such as quality and information security
• Sparring developers and spreading knowledge - streamlining the development work when it comes to database related matters
• Basic maintenance, keeping the heart beating
• Disaster recovery scenarios
• Cost-conscious decision-making
• Optimizing the databases, choosing the right database type for an API
• Looking after Index maintenance, statistics maintenance (automated)
• Database tuning, both reliability and performance
• Possible migrations
• Support for reporting and analytics

What we wish from you:  

• Knowledge of a modern cloud environment and different database options available in the cloud and how databases are linked to other resources in the cloud (AWS, Azure at least)
• Strong DBA knowledge, a person who’s done this and that and is able give answers without studying the subject for several days
• Knowledge of various database types and when to use one.
• Ability to design and implement scalable solutions using modern tools
• Preferably experience of working with production systems over several years
• Security knowledge
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong PostgreSQL experience very beneficial and MS SQL server knowledge a plus
