We are looking for a

Application Development Manager Pulp and Paper

located in Rajamäki, Finland

The Role

As Application Development Manager Pulp and Paper, you will support innovation processes with technical application knowledge in close coordination with R&D and the Application Development laboratory team. You will take a leading role in innovation projects by providing technical application expertise to the Business Unit Technical for refining applications and coordinate and steer external collaborations including trials of external laboratories, funded projects and university collaborations. Your key result areas include providing support to the Technical Service team including application testing and evaluation, technical presentations and assisting in developing new opportunities with technical assessments, such as literature and IP evaluation, providing technical knowledge, and industry networking.

About You

• Degree in paper science and engineering course or comparable
• Preferably technical work experience directly relevant to the paper and pulp industry
• Demonstrated ability to effectively translate between technology and customer needs
• Experience in enzymes is a clear asset, but not essential
• Willingness and capability to travel in Finland and abroad is a prerequisite
• A logic-oriented way of working, combined with a creative and “out of the box thinking” attitude, as well as a team spirit-oriented way of working are important work characteristics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
