Legal Trainee
Business FinlandBusiness Finland is now looking for a full time, fixed-term (11-12 months) Legal Trainee with a hands-on attitude and proactive mindset. Working in Business Finland’s HR and Legal team’s offers you an excellent chance to start your career and work closely with the dynamic Finnish export markets and business environments.
As Legal Trainee you will join Business Finland’s Legal, Compliance and Admin unit within our Support & Enablement Service Area. During your traineeship you will be supporting the legal department with tasks related to the new Business Finland law, supposed to be stepping into force during 2023. On the other hand, you will also have the chance to help the HR team to go through Labour Law related matters locally and in our Global Network, currently consisting of offices in 40 locations worldwide.
You will get to join a team of six seasoned lawyers who are already looking forward to getting you on board and joining their team as their Junior colleague!

As Legal Trainee, your job tasks include the following:

Assisting in legal preparatory work related to the new Business Finland law

Assisting Business Finland’s Legal counsel and HR team especially in labour law related matters

Conducting background research to different legislative matters

Supporting the team in general and administrative tasks, such as making memo’s of team meetings

Other tasks that may arise during the internship
WHO AND WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
-
Relevant educational background (e.g. Master of Law). You can either be a fresh graduate, or at the final stage of your studies

Interest and knowledge on Labour Law and curiosity to work in an environment with both domestic and international labour matters

Experience in keeping things in order, assisting in arrangements and/or project work

Ability to work independently as well as in a team: you are socially at ease in a multicultural environment

Full working proficiency in English and in Finnish

Good skills in the Office 365 environment
Previous experience in HR, Labour Law or other legal related responsibilities are considered as an advantage. We also appreciate your previous experience of operating in multicultural teams/projects and exchange studies.
