JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an engineer with drive, energy, motivation with knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering, Computer Aided Designs including effective communication and customer skills.
John Crane Engineering team is offering a great opportunity including key specifications such as product selection, troubleshooting, liaising with Sales and Aftermarket and external customers, reporting to Technical Manager Nordics. This is a critical position taking responsibility for day-to-day technical support to the region, escalating where support is needed.

Main responsibilities:
For the Wet Seals, Couplings and Filtration product lines, deliver technical proposals to our Sales and Aftermarket teams and engineered-to-order designs to our Customer Operations teams, on time and to a high standard.
Working closely with Sales and external customers.
Support our Sales teams with technical selling, preparing presentations and joining meetings with customers.
Conduct field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions, meeting with customers (together with Sales and Aftermarket) in plant or at customer's site to resolve satisfactorily.
Provide technical support to Customer Operations teams located in your region of responsibility.
Working closely with the Training and Enablement team, provide technical training to employees and customers.
Completion of project and application engineering request on time within business expectations
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified Engineer, BEng, MEng or equivalent, maybe enhanced by professional membership / chartership - e.g. MIMechE, CEng.
Understands how design and selection impacts profitability; Considers the commercial landscape during troubleshooting.
Computer literate in MS Office; MS Outlook; Computer Aided Design; Computational simulation such as FEA, CFD.
Experienced individual receiving general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Connects customer challenges to innovation.
Open minded and curious and seeks ways to enhance functional performance.
Demonstrates passion for results and progress.
Focuses effort on solutions rather than barriers.
Meets business expectation on lead time and on time delivery of application engineering and project requests.
Fluency in English and in at least one Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or Finnish)
