Stromma is actively seeking Bus Drivers to join our team in Norway for the 2025 sightseeing season. This opportunity is open in several Norwegian cities including Bergen, Geiranger, Haugesund, Kristiansand, Oslo, Stavanger, Stryn and Ålesund. We offer full-and part time roles.
Role and Key Responsibilities:
As a Bus Driver with Stromma, you play a crucial role in offering exceptional sightseeing experiences to our guests. You will navigate through some of Norway's most scenic routes, providing a safe and enjoyable journey for travelers from all around the world.
-Safely driving sightseeing buses on various routes.
- Perform pre-trip inspections, including checking tyres, lights, oil and fuel levels.
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the bus.
- Maintaining professionalism and offering excellent customer service.
- Adapting to flexible schedules during peak and off-peak seasons.
- Correctly register and report working hours using Tachograph Card and our internal registration system.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in bus driving.
- Valid Class D/DE driver's license and YSK / CPC certification (code 95).
- Good command of English. Norwegian and other languages are a plus.
- Resilience during busy periods.
- Passenger carrying vehicle (PCV) driver's licence (Kjøreseddel) is an advantage but not a requirement to apply:
Candidates must obtain and possess a valid Norwegian Passenger carrying vehicle (PCV) driver's licence (kjøreseddel), essential for professional driving roles such as buses. This process involves meeting specific criteria, including a clean criminal record and medical certificate. Your PCV can be obtained as part of the recruitment process if candidates do not have this already.
If you are a foreign citizen, you must generally have lived in Norway for four years. The residency requirement does not apply if you are from an EEA country and have a valid police certificate from that country.
