This position reports to Sales & Marketing Manager.

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will drive the sales performance of synchronous and induction machines in Large Motors and Generators division. You will have the opportunity to develop the business together with an experienced sales team, and you will play an important role in the realization of our customer promise and sales strategy, as well as in the development of our business. Your responsibilities include offering synchronous and induction machines to ABB's internal customers. Your customers are located in selected countries where ABB has Process Automation business. The Process Automation business delivers electrical systems to industries such as marine, metal, and mining. You will plan and implement actions related to the sales and business development of your own customer accounts in accordance with our global strategy.

The location of the role is Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki. The role requites presence in the office approximately 50 % of working time.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Identifying new business opportunities and being responsible of sales to ABB Marine for selected countries or /and segments
 Providing forecasts and market intelligence to marketing and sales and product management, as well as coordinating the information flow around sales activities
Establishing strong customer relationships and maintaining a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale
Conducting contract risk assessments and working closely with relevant parties to mitigate risks
Developing and contributing to account plans to meet the business and customer needs

Qualifications for the role:

Several years of experience for example working as a Sales Manager, Sales Support Engineer or R&D Engineer
Work experience in heavy industry company, preferably with synchronous or induction machines
Readiness to learn about contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms
You enjoy working with customers and provide the best possible service to your clients
M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or in a similar relevant field
Fluent written and spoken English skills, Finnish is an advantage
Valid working permit in Finland or in EU area
