Our current purchasing manager is moving to a new position in our company and we are now seeking Purchasing manager to be part of our Supply Chain team.
Would you like to work in an important role in leading the operative purchasing activities in a global leading company of cable and wire machinery?
In this role you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of purchasers and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services. You will lead your team focused on cost, quality and operational excellence; ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
We expect you to have previous experience in similar tasks and a development attitude, as your job duties also include development of processes, tools and methods to deploy best practises and exceed industry benchmarks.
Main responsibilities:
-Daily management and coaching of the purchasing team; also manage and plan team budget and resources
-Timely purchasing action (including confirming, tracking and expediting of deliveries)
-Ensure efficient use of inventory to meet business unit requirements.
-Ensure item master data integrity and its on-going maintenance.
-Verify ordering parameters and supplier capabilities (LT, EOQ, MOQ, etc.).
-Work effectively with both international suppliers and other global Davis-Standard sites
-Develop action plans to enhance purchasing and inventory processes
-Communicate and prioritize supplier needs and issues to the sourcing team

-Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience
-5+ years of relevant and proven track record and knowledge in procurement processes
-You have strong organizational, coaching and leadership skills
-Comprehensive understanding of entire supply chain and high degree of awareness of supply chain risk analysis and mitigation
-Ability to define and implement process improvements and good decision makings skills
-Your working way is systematic, highly analytical and execution oriented with experience in raw data interpretation
-Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office and with Excel your skills are advanced
-Excellent communication and co-operation skills in finnish and in English
We will consider it an advantage if you have
-Previous history with IFS is an asset
-Possible skills in other languages is an asset
