We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for Johan i Hallen Bergfalk (JHB) located in Vantaa. Johan I Hallen Bergfalk is part of Metro AG. Metro is a leading international wholesaler operating in more than 30 countries worldwide.
Johan i Hallen & Bergfalk (JHB) is a long-standing specialist that offers a carefully selected selection of meat, fish and seafood for restaurants and grocery shops with the expertise of more than 450 employees. JHB cut fish and process meat and seafood every day, according to customers' needs. JHB have own production and have been making sausages and delicacies by hand since 1916. JHB have a long tradition, comprehensive know-how and a wide network of successful breeders, producers and suppliers. Johan I Hallen Bergfalk supplies to more than 5000 customers in Finland and Sweden.
As Quality Assurance Manager you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, overseeing and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards and internal quality and food safety across JHB's operations in Finland while supporting/ driving initiatives/ projects in alignment with quality and corporate strategy. You will report to the Quality Assurance Director JHB. Your tasks also include field work and very much "hands on" operative tasks such as implementation of QA processes and QA controls, among others.
You have a Bachelor's/ master's degree in food science or equivalent level in the food safety related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience. As a professional you are proactive, goal-driven, and highly motivated to complete tasks in a timely, efficient manner. You have high level of proficiency with the English and Finnish language, both in verbal and written form. Swedish language skills are an advantage. You thrive in a strong team environment, are a self-starter and comfortable speaking up in company meetings. We are seeking a for an individual who has strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to changes and challenges. You should be capable to work effectively across functions.
