Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer specialized in Digital Customer Experience at ABB Oy, Motion Services Division in Helsinki.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create shippable digital products for the global market, in technology leading company. You will showcase your expertise by creating digital customer and user experience design while actively participating in implementation. Each day, you will ensure that every customer touchpoint and interaction is seamless, human centric and aligned. You will also play an important role in spreading human-centered design mindset in the organization.

In this position, you will be a part of a multi culture, global in-house community of 20 fellow designers. You will have the opportunity for professional development in UX/UI and service design as well as career possibilities in the field of design and beyond. The products you design will improve our customers' energy efficiency, meaning smaller CO2 emissions and less dependency on fossil fuels . Our technologies avoid and reduce emissions in both our customers' and our own operations. This position reports to Service R&D Manager.

You will be mainly responsible for:
- UX/UI design for ABB Motion Service products with focus on creating digital customer experience
- Collaborating closely with different stakeholders in the project, cooperating closely with product managers, operations, sales and developers being the advocate for changes, refinement and ongoing improvements.
- Arranging and facilitating definition workshops and design sprints working closely with different stakeholders
- Creating and maintaining documentation including user journey map, UX definition, UI architecture flow, iterative UI design mock-up, click prototypes, animations, etc.
- Representing the voice of the customer and user within the team, continuously advocating for human-centric design approach

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design and service design, with successfully shipped products to market with strong focus on UX/UI and overall customer experience
- Master's degree in (UX/UI design), Human-Computer interaction design, Industrial Design or other relevant design area
- Excellent UX/UI design and visual design skills documented work experience and examples showcased in a design portfolio (e.g. on platforms: Web, Windows, Mobile - iOS & Android)
- You enjoy communicating and collaborating with people and can work effectively with designers, developers, senior management and other stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of UX design principles and HCD methodologies such as user research, user journey mapping, persona, user stories, usability testing, iterative UI designs, Hi-fi click prototype, development support, etc.

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:
- Good understanding of practicing service design process and tools along with proficiency in conducting user interviews and facilitating workshops
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in converting complex processes into simple, clear, user interactions
- Strong analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and prioritize user needs and see it from customers and users perspective
- Established skills in UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe CC and understanding of technologies like Web-components, React, Vue and Angular
- Passionate about excellent visual standards, high attention to detail and great documentation skills
- You are at ease communicating in English, verbal and written
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, DevOps) and B2B experience
- Experience of design systems and design guidelines
