Oy Kewatec AluBoat Ab is a rapidly growing company in the professional boat industry, operating at three locations (Kokkola, Porvoo, Bergen). We manufacture high-tech aluminum-hulled professional boats, primarily for the Nordic countries and the rest of Europe. Our boats are always unique, designed and tailored individually for each customer. Each boat project, from concept to delivery, demands uncompromising expertise and precision. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for designers for permanent positions at our Kokkola office.

Your task will be to design boat component assemblies in a 3D environment. Depending on your expertise, you will design hull structures, electrical, HVAC, or machinery and system assemblies, ensuring their quality implementation in production. Our current design tools include Rhinoceros and SolidWorks.

You are interested in boat technology and its application to high-quality product solutions. You thrive in a systematic environment and want to both develop operations and learn new things while sharing your knowledge. Your work style is accurate and systematic, you are persistent, proactive, and an independent doer who can also work effectively in a team and collaborate with customers and partners.

You pay attention to details while managing the overall picture. Your colleagues can trust that you complete tasks on time according to the project plan. The work is sometimes hectic and requires the ability to work under pressure. You will have the support of skilled colleagues.

We expect you to have:

- Experience in similar tasks, preferably in boat/ship design
- Knowledge of various boat systems and the ability to create production-ready drawings for them
- Relevant education, such as in maritime engineering or naval architecture
- Skills primarily in 3D design tools, and familiarity with PDM solutions is an advantage
- Fluent in Finnish or Swedish, and English
