Marketing Activation Manager or -Specialist (job alternation leave)

We are looking for a Marketing Activation Manager or -Specialist to join our team. The role is a job alternation leave substitution (vuorotteluvapaan sijaisuus) starting from July 2024 until December 2024. At first the contract is fixed term, but we hope to find a way to continue the journey together after that as well.

The Marketing Activation Manager builds the local marketing plans for the brands Iittala and Arabia and make sure that the brands are activated and executed in the best and most efficient way in line with the agreed brand strategies for the Finnish market. This role is key when it comes to preparing and getting ready for launches and perform hands on execution. This role reports to Senior Manager, Marketing Activation and you will be part of an energized and skilled team that is working across different markets, while strongly co-operating with other stakeholders such as sales, global brand marketing team, product development and external partners.

Key responsibilities:

- Development of local annual marketing and commercial plans for the brands and execute brand campaigns to meet both company and individual brand and sales targets for the market, in line with global guidelines.
- Optimize, plan and lead the execution of the plans to reach set KPI:s using the tools available.
- Manage the brand budgets and secure the best ROI of the budget spent to support the sales and brand targets balancing short term reality with long term brand building.
- Local media planning and execution in line with global guidelines, including follow-ups.
- Be a partner to the sales organisation by giving them guidance and tools for executing the brand campaigns and product launches in respective channels, including e-com, own retail and wholesale channel. Ensure Local presence in Retail, e-com & digital activation aligned with global guidelines. As well as support the channel needs to ensure traffic and sales.
- Content planning (consumer journey) aligning all content to the marketing calendar and different channel needs.
- Translations/proofreading and asset localization when required.
- Initiate and take active part in sales follow up and analysis and follow up on brand performance in the market.

Profile characteristics and skills expected to succeed in this position:

Bachelor level education in marketing or related field is a plus, but previous experience and learning abilities are more important.

- 5+ years total work experience, and 3+ years of marketing experience within a brand marketing team or at an agency.
- Proficiency in both Finnish and English as working language.
- Experience from retail, sales or visual merchandising is beneficial, and/or knowledge of retail dynamics and shopper behavior.
- Commercial mindset with a desire to create change and achieve results.
- Self-driven, organized, and solution oriented.
- Strong cooperative skills, and work well in a team setting
- A can-do attitude and positive mindset
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
