Alimetrics Research Oy is a 20-year-old Finnish contract research company providing services for the industry and academia worldwide. From 2022 onwards Alimetrics Research has been part of Associated British Foods. Our core scientific expertise is in the exploration and monitoring of gastrointestinal health indicators for animals and man.

Currently our most important client category is companies developing health promoting feed ingredients for production animals and man. In our typical assignments we screen for novel products with our proprietary laboratory models, study the modes of action of products, explore microbiological and immunological parameters connected to health, and help our clients to apply scientific information to their product development and marketing.

We are now looking for an open minded and hardworking senior researcher capable of:
i)developing novel analytical methods for the quantification of relevant analytes connected to intestinal health,
ii)managing our current chemical analysis workflow,
iii)applying fundamental science in feed and food ingredient business
We would like to recruit you if you have an academic degree and strong expertise in organic analytical chemistry. We require knowledge on the analysis of biomolecules such as organic acids, carbohydrates, mycotoxins and amino acids in complex matrices. Our current analytical hardware includes GC, GC-MS and HPLC instruments, which you should be familiar with. In your job, you should familiarise yourself with our current analytical portfolio. Furthermore, we hope that you will diversify our research by bringing new insights and setting up new analytical assays for biomolecules relevant for our applications.
You would be working in a team with microbiologists, molecular biologists, immunologists and animal nutritionists; we always meet the challenges of our clients as a multidisciplinary team. Most of our clients are from outside Finland and English is our official reporting language. Therefore, fluent written and spoken English is essential.
