Manufacturing & Assembly consist of different functions within our Delivery Center Vaasa (DCV) located in the Vaasa city centre where we develop, deliver and maintain world-class engine products. Our priorities are: quality, delivery precision and optimised total cost and for reaching these we focus on having competent and motivated personnel. Delivery Centre Vaasa is responsible for the delivery of W20, W31 and W32/34 engines and gensets sold by Marine Business and Energy Business and 99% of our output goes to export.

As a summer trainee, your main task is to perform work in your area of responsibility according to instructions, tools, machines and standards. You will manufacture components or take part in assembly processes as a part of a team. Your tasks will also include active participation in continuous development processes for quality, safety and manufacturing methods as well as ensuring work place safety and ergonomics. More specific tasks will be determined based on your interests, experience and field of study.
In the Summer Power campaign, we have trainee possibilities for instance in the following functions:
- Line & Pilot Assembly
- Delivery Unit & Module assembly
- Test Run & Finishing
- Connecting Rod Workshop
We are looking for motivated and energetic students with a “can-do” attitude and interest towards hands-on work. We value development-oriented team players and the ability to cooperate in a multicultural environment.
As an ideal candidate you have
- On-going studies in a relevant field (Technical education/ Engineering or equivalent)
- Basic language skills in English
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Basic skills with IT systems
- Active and target focused attitude towards work
Some of the positions may have Finnish or Swedish as language requirements, so please remember to mention your language skills and proficiency levels in your CV.
