Senior Software Developer

Turku, Finland / R&D, Software development

The Turku Site, with 580 employees, represents one of PerkinElmer’s major manufacturing and product development sites for newborn screening and maternal fetal health. As the global market leader in newborn screening, our solutions have tested over 560 million babies worldwide for life-threatening diseases. The software development team creates and maintains instrument and standalone software products as part of Turku R&D product development projects.

Role description:

  • Software development and design as part of multi-site teams
  • Participation in continuous improvements of development practices

Role requirements:

  • M.SC. or BSc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong team player eager to learn and continuously develop as a professional
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • It’s considered as a plus if you have previous knowledge of ISO 13485 design control requirements and IEC 62304 standard

We are looking for a candidate that would match one or a combination of the two technical profiles below:

Web front end development:

  • React / Angular, Typescript, Node.js
  • Experience of frontend architecture and UI design
  • Mobile development, ASP.NET Core, C# considered beneficial

Backend/Full-stack developer:

  • C#, ASP.NET Core
  • SQL Server, Azure DevOps
  • Experience of one or more of the following: microservice based architectures, cloud based solutions (Azure), Identity and Access management (IAM)

  • Cybersecurity knowledge, Docker/Kubernetes considered beneficial
