Cost Estimation Specialist
We are now looking for a Cost Estimation Specialist to join our Global Quotation Support team in Tampere.
As a Cost Estimation Specialist, you will be responsible for estimating supplier lead times and cost information based on defined rules when information is not available to enable sales price and lead time to be quoted. You analyze production drawings and local supply chain needs quickly and as accurately as possible making fast decisions on when to go outside the Global Quotation Support Team.
You work in close cooperation with your global team members and different internal stakeholders e.g. Supply Chain, Global procurement, Distribution purchasing, Customer logistics and Expert Network.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Utilizing manufacturing drawings and experience of the manufacturing process to determine costing
- Reviewing, quarterly, cost estimations and accuracy levels and presenting findings to Global Quotation Support Management
- Adhering to lean processes and KPI requirements set by the Cost Estimation Process Manager
- Cross-training within Global Quotation Support to be able to support Material Master Data, Price Estimation and Technical Support
To succeed in this position, you should have minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience e.g. in purchasing, supply chain, global procurement or engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in related field. We appreciate previous work experience in mining, engineering or construction related industry.
You have strong knowledge of basic IT tools (e.g. Office 356) and user experience in ERP system, preferably SAP. We appreciate previous experience in PDM and Pool for Tool systems. In addition, understanding of manufacturing processes and machine and parts drawings for spares and wears is an asset.
You have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. You are capable of working effectively and accurately on several tasks at one time, as well as organizing, prioritizing tasks, decision making and working in a fast-paced environment. You have great teamwork skills and you know how to communicate topics within the area of expertise to all levels of the organization.
This position requires occasional international travelling and a driver’s license for local travelling.
