Commissioning Manager

We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to Containerboard conversion in Stora Enso Oulu Mill to lead the setting up of the commissioning systems for the responsible process areas and disciplines. Your location will be Oulu and you will be working in Packaging Materials Division. The contract is for a fixed time period, starting from the 1st of March 2020 until the 31st of March 2021.

As a Commissioning manager you will be leading the setting up of commissioning systems in board, pulp and pulp drying machine mill sites as well as in support processes like power plant and environmental systems. Your main responsibility is to lead all commissioning activities as well as to operate as a manager to supervisors and engineers that work in our test & commissioning teams. 

You will be responsible for all method statements and risk assessments and for providing input and insight to the overall commissioning plan to the different project areas. One of your key tasks is to combine all inputs from different areas into one joint commissioning plan and time schedule. You will also ensure that overall commissioning and testing events are supporting the start-up schedule of the project.


You will also:
• Take an active role to ensure safe working environment during the whole commissioning period
• Manage all suppliers and mill operations to ensure that commissioning plans are created according to the commissioning instructions and safety rules of the project
• Manage and organize practical work of all suppliers and mill operations during the commissioning executions of different process areas
• Make sure that specifications, standards and commissioning instructions are followed

Qualifications

Are you the one? 

In order to succeed in this role, you have strong experience in operational commissioning management. Your proficiency is based on a bachelor´s or master´s degree in science and you have previous experience in a managerial position. Experience in pulp and paper industry and good knowledge of the main processes, equipment and controls is mandatory. 

You are result-oriented and have a positive can-do attitude, and you communicate fluently in spoken and written English and Finnish. We appreciate a hands-on attitude and thus, give you opportunities to shine. We are building a sustainable future for the world, be part of it.

Additionally, experience on the following will help you to succeed in this role:

• Strong capability to enhance team work as well as ability to manage relationships across the working network
• Willingness and ability to challenge old routines and create efficient work methodologies
• Knowledge of MES systems
• Experience in performing and coordinating FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), Integrated Site Acceptance Test – (with DCS and QCS) and any other witness events
• Good IT and analytical skills
