I dare to claim that we’ve got Finland’s most interesting data! Then again, we hate a poor customer experience, clunky webstores and inefficiency. Thus, I’m rapidly growing a new eCommerce Data & Analytics team that focuses on enabling the rapid growth of our retail sites (incl. groceries via foodie.fi and skaupat.fi, and other consumer goods via sokos.fi, prisma.fi). This rapid growth is based on a kick-ass customer experience, intelligent sales in addition to process efficiency that has been enabled by optimization. The scope will include the whole supply chain from the warehouse to the customer and the website/app itself.

You will be part of a new target-oriented eCommerce Data & Analytics team that will comprise a ML Engineer, Data Scientists, SEO Specialist, Web Analysts and BI Analysts. But your actual work will be in service development teams that are gathered around a business function or goal and that comprises different talents: sales, tech development, design, etc. We use business-driven agile-development methods in all our work to ensure rapid value creation for the business and customers. S Group has also other Data & Analytics teams so there are sparring opportunities in-house, but I’ll also help you to connect with relevant people outside.
What will you do?
Our use-case list is long, but prioritization and work focus are of paramount importance. You’ll be diving straight into the deep end: be part of the development of our new grocery and consumer goods websites/apps by ensuring state-of-the-art data collection. You will play an important role in the continuous optimization of old/new websites to increase customer experience and sales. You will turn data into development proposals but also coach stakeholders with web data literacy.

What improves your chances of success?
Strong target-orientation and business intuition
Strong analytical background and ability to transform quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and development proposals
Ability to teach business users to use explorative data visualizations and gain actionable insights
Years of experience in web/app analytics, AB-testing, conversion optimization (primarily Google Analytics but tools such as Mixpanel, Visual Website Optimizer seen as a plus)
Experience in analytics implementation (Google Tag Manager), frontend (React, Typescript, Next.js) and BigQuery
Seen as a plus: understanding of marketing automation, personalization, search engine optimization, real-time analytics (e.g. Splunk) and self-service analytics (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau)
Fluent English as a working language; Finnish a plus
Our headquarters are in Vallila, Helsinki but currently we are all working remotely (which will partly continue in the future too).
