As a process engineer trainee, your key goals are to support silicon processing in the microelectronics cleanroom in Otaniemi, Espoo. In this position, you will have an essential role in assisting Process engineers in process development and problem-solving in the cleanroom manufacturing environment. Your task is also to help sustain the process over the holiday season in collaboration with the maintenance group.
Our Process Engineering operates in a cleanroom fully equipped for the fabrication of silicon and glass-based microsystems and devices. Process Engineer team supports and develops processes for innovative pilot production and R&D.
What your responsibilities as a Process Engineering Trainee would include?
- Using characterization tools, such as reflectometer, microscope, SEM, etc.
- Carrying out tests and monitor runs using processing equipment
- Following up on the test results and the statistical control limits
Who we are looking for?
- You have a background in physic, chemistry or electrical engineering and studies and/or some experience in microfabrication processes
- Ability to work in the cleanroom laboratory environment
- Ability to take initiative, responsibility, ability to combine theory with practice in a solution-oriented manner
- Good interaction and cooperation skills and fluent English.

- Have an analytical mindset and are attentive to details, result-driven, not shy to propose ideas for improvement; want to see research results turn into commercial solutions.
